Shab-e-barat -Festival of Deliverance from sins.

Today is the festival of Muslim religion which is known as Shab-e-Barat, the word Shab is derived from the Persian language which means night and the word Barat is derived from the Arabic word which means deliverance, thus the meaning of Shab-e-Barat There is a night of Deliverance from sins.

According to the Islamic i.e. Hijri calendar, the month of Shab-e-Barat is called Shaaban, which is the 8th month of the Hijri calendar, and on the 14th of this month, the people of Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat make halwa in their homes and perform Fatiha,Fatiha means reciting some verses of the Qur'an and conveying the virtue received from it to the souls of those people who have left this world doing good deeds, such as the Prophet of Allah, Sahaba, Sufi saints, or elders of the house,who have passed away.

on the same night people Wake up and worship Allah.

Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, the last prophet of Islam, says that on this night the work done by every person throughout the year is reviewed, how many sins he has committed, how many good deeds he has done, all these are calculated, who will get how much sustenance throughout the year. In whose share will poverty come, in whose share will richness come, How long will he live, who will die and when, all these things are calculated.In short, it is a night from Allah to complete one financial year of the life of all human beings.The last Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam says that on this night the person who sincerely repents from all his sins and worships Allah, then Allah forgives the sins of all except 5 people,Sins are not forgiven among the polytheists, having hatred in the heart for someone,People who gamble, people who break relationships, and women who commit adultery are included.According to the religion of Islam, this night is very blessed and merciful.

It becomes necessary to mention another pious person associated with this festival,during the time of the last prophet of Islam,There used to be a shepherd in Yemen named Owaish, he loved the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam very much but his mother was blind and very old. Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Often looking at Yemen,used to say that I smell my friend from there, then a sahabi (companion) said that you love him so much and he does not even come to meet you, so hujoor sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that yes he loves me a lot but Because of serving his old and blind mother, he could not come here.

one day after taking permission of half day from his mother owaish karni went to medina, but at that time Huzoor was not at home, so thinking about the permission of the poor mother, he immediately returned crying without waiting, when Huzoor came back, he asked if someone had come to meet me,he was told that Owaish had come, you said that his fragrance is spread here.

prophet Muhammad Mustafa sallallahu alaihi wasallam bequeathed to Hazrat Umar bin Khattab,2nd caliph of Islam that if a person named Owaish comes in your era, then you and Ali radiallahu Taala anhu should ask him to pray for the forgiveness of the Ummah because he has served his mother in such a way that God is pleased with him.

This is how Hazrat Umar used to search for hazrat owaish in the days of Hajj when he made the people of Yemen stand on the occasion of Hajj, then separated the people of the city of Karan, then separated the people of Murad tribe in that city and then found a person standing. So asked him are you Owaish, he said I am not Owaish but I am his relative,When hazrat umar asked him the address of Owaish, he was told that he had gone to graze camels in the forest. Hazrat Umar immediately left for the forest taking Hazrat Ali along with him and saw an old man in torn old clothes sitting on a rock praying. Both the Respected people greeted him and introduced him and told him the whole situation,Hearing this, Owaish started crying and prayed for all of us.

The last Prophet Huzoor Akram Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said that when the owaish is going towards Jannat,He will be stopped at the door of Jannat. Owaish get feared and asked to Allah why he has been stopped.?

So Allah will instruct him to look back Owaish will see behind then the whole crowd of guilty people will be going to hell, Allah Rabbul izzat will say to owaish that as long as you keep pointing your finger, I will send each and every one of hell to heaven.

In this way, only by serving the mother, this Owaish karni achieved the place that not only did he go to heaven, but also he gave heaven to so many people of hell.

In Shabe-Barat, the love of Owaish Karni Radiallahu Taala Anhu is remembered and Fatiha is also performed in his name.

We get a lesson from this incident that we should serve our parents in such a way that they agree with us, if they agree then God will also agree.
